Warehouse/wholesale Stores

Just within the last 4-5 years, large wholesale stores found in every city in the US, have begun to spring up in Chetumal. Mexicans and Belizeans who used to have to travel to Cancun for shopping now have access to more choices right in Chetumal. Examples for these are Sam's Discount Center, Office Depot, and Bodega Aurrerá, a Mexican discount-store owned by the American discount chain, Wal-mart. Moving into Chetumal about the same time was Chedraui (located in Plaza las Americas), a Mexican grocery and department store chain.
